NAR Gourmet introduces Mobile Olive Oil Production truck to the press at a launching event that took place at the Culinary Arts Center (YESAM). Bringing the tastes of Anatolia to tables across the world, NAR Gourmet has implemented the Mobile Olive Oil Production Truck Project, featuring a one of a kind mobile olive oil press machine that will gather five tons of olives from six provinces in Turkey. The olive oil production on wheels will deliver the freshest results, while highlighting the local olive varieties grown in Mardin, Hatay, Manisa, Mersin, Antalya and Ayvalık, while traveling more than 2,500 miles across Turkey.
The launch started with an olive oil tasting, introducing the olive oils from this year’s harvest. The tasting was led by Gino Celletti, who is the author of “Monocultivar Olive Oil” and this year’s chief judge at New York Olive Oil Competition together with Associate Professor Mücahit Taha Özkaya from Ankara University’s Agricultural Department. The tasting was followed by a presentation given by Samir Bayraktar, General Manager of NAR Gourmet. Later on guests had a chance to taste the special menu prepared for them by NAR Restaurant.
