PALAMUT PİLAKİ (BRAISED BONITO)

Ingredients
2 whole fish Bonito fish; sliced in 2cm thick slices
1 each Red onions; sliced thinly
2 each Tomatoes; peeled and sliced
2 each Green peppers; sliced thinly
4 cloves Garlic; finely chopped
1 each Limon; thinly sliced
2 each Bay leaf
¼ cup Olive oil
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Black pepper                      

Instructions
In a large pan, pour the olive oil. On medium heat sauté the onion, garlic and green peppers until caramelized. Take an oven tray or an oven-proof dish and place  ¼th of the onion mixture on the bottom, then lay the fish slices, sprinkle some salt and pepper, put the rest of the onion mixture, then top with bay leaves, tomato and lemon slices. Bake in a 180 C preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes. Serve hot.
