ALTI EZMELİ KEBAP (BEEF AND LAMB KEBABS WITH ROASTED TOMATO SAUCE)

Ingredients
½ kg. (≈1 lbs) Ground lamb and beef mixed
4 cloves of Garlic, finely minced
1 tbsp. Tomato paste
1 tbsp. Red pepper paste
2 tbsp. Olive oil
1 ½ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Black pepper
½ tsp. Allspice
5 Tomatoes, large

Instructions
Combine the ground beef, lamb, tomato paste, red pepper paste, olive oil, salt, black pepper and allspice and mix until well incorporated. Divide the ground meat mixture into 4. Take a skewer and wrap ¼th of the ground meat mixture around the skewer and form an elongated meat patty.  Do the same with the remaining three. Place in the fridge for about half hour to marinate. In the meantime, grill the tomatoes until softened and the skin comes off easily. Peel off the skin, and mash the tomatoes. Spread the mashed tomatoes on a serving platter.  Take the meat out of the fridge and leave out for about 10-15 minutes. Then place on the grill and cook until the patty is evenly cooked all over. Serve the grilled patties on the mashed tomatoes.
